The Trowbridge Centre Regeneration was a partnering project between City and County of Cardiff and Cardiff Community Housing Association.

The scheme was to regenerate an existing district shopping centre which was falling into disrepair and associated housing and replace with a new vibrant shopping centre and modern housing built to a Lifetime Homes specification and providing a new home zone residential project.

The £1.4million project involved the construction of 5 retail units including car parking and highway and drainage works. The construction of the new retail units allowed the tenants of the existing retail units to move into the new units, which then allowed the existing flats and shops to be demolished to allow the construction of the 45 new homes under phase 2.

Bowen & Partners advised the City Council and Housing Association on procurement of the works and processing the OJEU notices of pre-qualification responses of partnering contractors.

We provided project and financial management and CDM Co-ordination on the project.
