The Cathedral School, Cardiff has extended its teaching facility to include a Sixth Form which enables a continuous education from Nursery through infants and senior school to sixth form entry.
The site is restricted in available land and all works require construction around a working school campus with children from a young age and peak hour drop off and collection.

The sixth form programme entailed a phase one contract to alter and extend the existing listed lodge building to provide seperate accommodation for the nursery and infants. This enabled the existing nursery building to be altered and extended to create a 6th Form Centre and the demolition of the infant's school building to provide a site for a new classroom block.

The Lodge is located on an adjacent site connected by an overhead bridge to the main campus with a public footpath with listed stone walls seperating the two sites.

Phases 2 and 3 were on the main school campus with restricted circulation requiring creating drop off points for constructors deliveries and storage and agreeing a timetable for moving plant and equipment from drop off to site location.

Each phase was governed by the academic calender for start/completion/transfer and commencement of the following phases to meet the new intake in August each year.

The Lodge was completed in April 2013 and the 6th Form Centre was completed 2013. The new Classroom Building commenced on site August 2013 for completion July 2014.
