Vulcan Brewery was MTCBC former estates yard off Brecon Road adjacent to Merthyr Tydfil Town Centre.  

Bowen and Partners were made aware of the site and quickly assessed there was potential to re-develop the brewery site for residential use.  This happened with a partnership between Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council and Wales & West Housing.
 
Bowen and Partners as CDM Co-ordinator was heavily involved due to the state of the buildings and undertook risk assessments for the demolition and site clearance of the old brewery.
 
The re-developed site comprises provided twenty new homes including 18No houses and 2No flats.
 
Bowen & Partners provided the project management and cost consultancy together with the CDM Co-ordination. The cost of the project was £2.1million.
